Not a bad start... I had my doubts....
Jodie is fine - I'll get used to the accent.
Not sure I like gramps - nan was awesome - I'd take nan as a companion any day.
Ryan was good - very promising (apart from the aforementioned 'my ass he's 19' age issue...
Yaz.... I don't know yet.
THe direction was good, the camerawork good - the script was a little slow, but I expected that for a new setup.
LOVED the retro theme - loved it I really miss GOld, but this kid may do.
Now I need to see the Tardis before I decide to jump off a bridge or not

If it was just making fun and playing with the accent - that's great.
If it was a reference to the football (US) nutter... not so much
But I think the important thing is that Jodie appeared to be having fun.
Cos if you don't enjoy it, what's the point?

Re: Rate The Woman Who Fell To Earth.
It was just an amusing mishearing by the Doctor, and an amusingly normal name for the monster (it was even in the credits). It may have been a reference to a radio DJ born in Shefield called Tim Shaw.

Same guy who co-hosts "Car SOS" on C4 along with musician/motoring journalist Fuzz Townshend, yeah.
